CentOS 7

Running a system which is derived from Fedora is always a journey back to the past….with RHEL and its clones it’s not different. Once there was no NetworkMananger, another time no Systemd. Today the differences between CentOS 7 and the current Fedora release are not that big because from 19 to 20 the changes were minor. That’s nice but unfortunately this will change in the future when Fedora is pushing forwards and RHEL will maintain its state for a long time.
We discussed the “Extended life support” for Fedora a couple of times but we actually never made something happen. We were thinking about extending the life cycle of Fedora for one or two releases.
