The HP LaserJet 2100 is a nice piece of hardware. A network interface is present, refilled cartridges are cheap nowadays, and a PostScript emulation is available. The downside of old hardware is its slowness.
Sometimes I need to print stuff at home. So, speed is not really needed, it just sucks to wait. With Fedora 16 it seams that it takes much longer to print pages than with prior Fedora releases.

Let's take a look at the configuration of the LaserJet.

Well, nothing new here.
The CUPS configuration says "DeviceURI socket://10.0.41.32". As far as I remember, I used ipp in the past. A little configuration error from my side?
Would a dedicated CUPS server speed-up the printing process?
